About Indore

Indore is the largest and most populous city of Madhya Pradesh. It is popular for its monuments, history, food and trendy market places. The city was founded by Rao Nandlal Chaudhary and he named it ‘Indrapur’ after Lord ‘Indra’, the presiding deity of a famous temple in Indore.

7. Rajwada

Rajwada is a historical palace that was constructed by the Holkar dynasty in the year 1747 A.D. The palace has seven stories which is an excellent example of royal grandeur and magnificent architectural skills of those times. It consists of a well-maintained garden that has a statue of Queen Ahilya Bai. It also houses some beautiful fountains and artificial waterfalls.
