14. Solang Valley

Located about 14 km from the Manali town, Solang Valley is an absolute must visit place in any traveller’s itinerary. 12. Hadimba Temple

The shrine is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, Bhima’s wife and Ghatothkach’s mother. Situated in the snowy mountains and in between the cedar trees, this magnificent temple is constructed on a rock which is considered as a replica of the Hadimba Devi. The temple which was built in 1553 comprises of 4 wooden floors. The temple interiors haven’t been tampered and are in sync with the surrounding natural beauty. Stone, mud imprints and statues of varied deities adorn the walls of the temple.

 11. Vashisht Baths

These are natural hot springs which are located about 6 km from the Manali town. Enchanting temples in sandstones are an adjunct to the springs. There are separate bathing arenas for women and men. It is believed that the hot spring water has medicinal properties which can treat skin ailments.

9. Manu temple

7. Great Himalayan National Park

This park spread over an area of 754 square km with an altitude of 1500-6000m was founded in 1984. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site and received the honour of a national park in 1999. The park comprises of four valleys namely Sainj Valley, Tirthan Valley, Jiwa Nal Valley and Parvati Valley. Surrounded by the mighty Himalayas, the park is home to 375 varieties of fauna, 31 species of mammals along with around 181 bird varieties.

6. Van Vihar National Park
