15. Burude Falls

The Burude falls, also known as ‘Illimane’ falls is located about 20 km from the Siddapur town. The place is beautiful and serene and surrounded with the verdant greenery of the dense forests.

14. Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery)

Namdroling Monastery is the biggest centre of learning of Tibetan Buddhism and is also known as Nisargadhama. The centre is made of bamboo which was given by the Indian government to exiled Tibetians. The monastery is now a home to the Sangha clan and houses many learning centres as well as a hospital. The monastery was built in 1963 and is a masterpiece of the Tibetan architecture. Among the many ceremonies held at the monastery, the Tibetan New Year is celebrated with great fervour.

13. Iruppu Falls

Also known as the ‘Lakshmana Tirtha Falls’, Iruppu falls are located in the Brahmagiri Mountain Range. The falls have spiritual and divine value to them as it is believed that the water of the falls can erase all past sins of the visiting devotees. There is also a well-known temple of Shiva called ‘Rameshwara’ which is located close to the falls.

12. Talacauvery

This place is where the river Kaveri starts flowing. Talacauvery is situated on the Brahmagiri hill in Kodagu district. The clan of the Kodavas have built a tank where the river originates therein filling up the tank. There is a temple at the tank which is frequented by devotees on special occasions especially on the Kaveri Changrandi day. The town of Talacauvery also houses another famous temple devoted to Goddess Kaveriamma. The temple is nestled in lush green hills and meadows and the view from the temple top is a sight to behold.

11. Omkareshwara Temple
