The Burude falls, also known as ‘Illimane’ falls is located about 20 km from the Siddapur town. The place is beautiful and serene and surrounded with the verdant greenery of the dense forests.

14. Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery)

Namdroling Monastery is the biggest centre of learning of Tibetan Buddhism and is also known as Nisargadhama. The centre is made of bamboo which was given by the Indian government to exiled Tibetians. The monastery is now a home to the Sangha clan and houses many learning centres as well as a hospital. The monastery was built in 1963 and is a masterpiece of the Tibetan architecture. Among the many ceremonies held at the monastery, the Tibetan New Year is celebrated with great fervour.

The clan of the Kodavas have built a tank where the river originates therein filling up the tank. The town of Talacauvery also houses another famous temple devoted to Goddess Kaveriamma. The temple is nestled in lush green hills and meadows and the view from the temple top is a sight to behold.
