Chinese Fishing Nets are popular among tourists in Kochi. Legend says that these nets were introduced in Kochi by a Chinese explorer, Zheng He in the 14th century. Local Fishermen show tourists how to use these nets in an exchange for a small fee. It is a fun experience at Kochi. You can purchase the fresh catch and have it cooked by the shacks nearby.

Kodanad is a small village in the district of Ernakulam. It has great training centers for stranded elephants (adults and baby). You can watch the elephants roll around as they play in the water. In exchange of a small fee, you can even ride an elephant. Visit the place in the mornings to watch the elephants taking a bath and play with them.
