Airbnb is looking to expand its product offerings to give travelers more local and authentic experiences in every city.

Many factors go into the planning of a trip such as attending concerts or going to a restaurant. Also, there are places such as water sports or dance classes where local help can be of much use.

Parin Mehta, APAC trips operations director for Airbnb states that “Tokyo, Seoul and Bali have seen much traction. But these are also places which are “quite difficult” for foreigners to navigate, and where its community of locals can play a part in guiding them through the experiences”

The company also wants to encash on the increased domestic travel within China as well as the increased incidence of Chinese millennials going overseas.
