Airtel, India’s major telecommunication brand is now adding free 400 MB data over and above the subscribed prepaid plans. This additional data is credited to those Airtel users accounts who have purchased either Rs 399 or Rs 448 or Rs 499 recharge plans. This is said to be Airtel’s strategy to retain its customers who are abandoning Airtel due to rival Jio’s competitive data plans. However, Airtel is justifying the same as a process that will increase its Average Revenue per user (ARPU).
The offer is available for selective users; hence, Airtel users do not need to use any coupon or activate the offer to apply the same. The Airtel Rs 399 prepaid recharge plan gives 1GB data per day with extra benefits. Now, the customers will get 1.4GB daily data for 84 days. The Rs 448 recharge plan comes with 1.5GB data per day that will increase to 1.9GB for 82 days. While the Airtel Rs 499 recharge plan, that offers 2GB data per day, will be increased to 2.4GB daily data for 82 days. Other benefits such as unlimited local, national, and roaming outgoing calls and 100 SMS per day will continue to prevail.
