Alibaba, one of China’s largest online retailers has introduced the concept of artificial intelligence in fashion through its ‘FashionAI’ concept which has been launched in an in-house store in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Alibaba believes that people still enjoy the concept of an in-house store when it comes to clothing and electronics.  According to the company’s executives 80% shopping in China is still done in physical stores for fashion and electronics. In this ‘FashionAI’ store,  customers can try on different sizes and colors with a little help of the technology that speeds up the process. The AI system also gives accessory suggestions for the outfits a customer chooses.
