Doxovent is an antitussive. It is a bronchodilator medicine which relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways leading to the lung. How to take Doxovent

  • Doxovent is administered orally in the form of tablets or syrup.
  • It is usually advised to take Doxovent in the evening or before you sleep.
  • This medicine can be taken along with food or without it.

Common Dosage of Doxovent

  • Maximum dose for adults is up to 1,200 mg per day.
  • Elderly Patients: 200 mg tablet two or three times daily.
  • Adults: 400 mg tablet two or three times daily or as prescribed by your doctor.
  • In certain cases, dose of 400mg twice daily is recommended based on the response to treatment.
