Dubai’s major airline, Emirates has recently launched its app in Arabic bringing the total number of languages supported to 19. The airline receives an average of 6 lakh monthly app downloads. The Emirates app allows its users to search, book and manage their flights. Available in languages namely, Arabic, English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Czech, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil & Portugal), Polish, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Turkish, Emirates has become the only airline globally to have an app in 19 languages. Emirates has been using analytical and customer behaviour insights to constantly improve its digital channels. Last year, it was confirmed that Emirates quarter of all ticket sales were made on the web and mobile channels. While 40% of the total customers checked in for their flights online.
Earlier this year, Emirates enhanced its app’s technology which allowed the users to create a bespoke playlist for their inflight entertainment.
