Paytm is all set to boost its ticketing business by identifying the entertainment segment as one of its key focus areas. Apart from dealing in movie tickets, Paytm will now be seen tapping customers from sports, comedy and music events too. As a strategy to increase their online penetration and doubling their business every year, Paytm is trying to find ways by which everybody can buy tickets online instead of facing the inconvenience of buying the tickets offline. Aiming to help their partners grow their own business, Paytm looks forward to grow the revenues of entertainment segment from Rs.250 crores to Rs.1000 crores over the next 18 months, but the broader objective will remain focused on customer acquisition.
