South Korean beauty behemoth Ameropacific Group has introduced its brand ‘Etude House’ through beauty retailer, Nykaa in the Indian market. This is the third brand launched by Ameropacific after Innisfree and Laneige.
According to Lee Chang- Kyoo, Head of Amorepacific’s Group Strategy Unit, the launch of ‘Etude House’ would enable the company to make its presence in the Indian beauty market more conspicuous. Furthermore, Lee Chang – Kyoo added that the Indian beauty market is growing by nearly 10% every year and this growth is primarily being driven by millennials having increasingly disposable incomes.
The South Korean firm had chosen Nykaa previously as a launch pad for its Laneige brand as well.
As per Nihir Parikh, Nykaa’s Chief Business Officer, Nykaa has introduced Indian customers to Korean beauty products that have unique innovations and exclusive ingredients. He further added that the category is being lapped up by the Indian consumers who are keen to follow global beauty trends.
