It is located in Kumara Park and the main deity in this temple is goddess Kanyakaparmeshwari. It has excellent marble work and admirable murals done on its walls. Most depictions on the walls are scenes from Bhagavad Gita and Vasavi History along with other depictions of holy places and Rishimuni’s. It also has a mirror temple which is popular with both the locals and the tourists.

2. Sugreeva Venkateshwara Temple

It is located in balpet and the main deites here are Sugreeva and Venkateshwara. Accordingto legend,Sugreeva the monkey king stopped here on his way to Lanka and became good friends with Lord Rama. Inside the temple on the main pedestal is an idol of Lord Venkateshwara who is an incarnation of Vishnu.  According to legends, Vishnu came down here to pacify his wife Lakshmi when she was infuriated by his actions.

This temple was built in 1750 and according to legend, the demon durgamasura harassed the local people constantly. He was killed in a fierce battle with goddess Banshankari who appeared through a fire and restored peace in the region. Banashankari is an incarnation of goddess Parvati is worshipped by many to remove obstacles and hardships.

4. Shiva Temple on Airport Road

This temple has a 65-foot-high statue of Lord Shiva on Airport Road. It was built in the year 1995 and has a towering presence and a grand look. The temple was made by Shri Shankaracharya of Srinegri who is considered an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
