Flipkart Acquires Grocery Market: Operations starting from July End

After being acquired by Walmart, Flipkart is all set to expand itself by launching grocery services in five major cities of India by the end of July 2018. Hyderabad is the first city to launch the grocery operations followed by Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Pune. Flipkart has a plan to acquire the customer base who shop for groceries in the first 10 days of the month. A sheer cut in the prices of groceries would be seen at the beginning and end of each month and similar offers were made by Amazon India and Big Basket. The U.S based retailer, Walmart has recently announced to open 50 new stores in India in the next 5 years.
