People flying on Emirates can now pay less for some categories of the UAE visas. The fee for 30-day validity tourist visa has been dropped to Rs. 5,320 from Rs. 6,300 by DVPC (Dubai Visa Processing Centre). DVPC is an exclusive facility of VFS Global for Emirates and Government of Dubai for processing UAE visas. The prices for express 14 days and 96 hours visas have also been dropped as a gesture for their customers which have grown to 3 million applicants since their inception. This move was made by DVPC after a very recent decision taken by the UAE to grant visa free transits to people flying between India and the rest of the world through mega-hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This decision will increase the number of travellers to UAE with almost a quarter of all international travel to and from India happening on mega UAE carriers like Emirates, flyDubai and Etihad.
