With the acquisition of Goibibo by the leading OTA MakeMyTrip, the company has strengthened their hold on the online hotel distribution business at a big level. Drawing up an integrated hotel strategy for the three brands – MakeMyTrip, Goibibo and RedBus; Ritwik Khare, the Chief Business Officer – International Hotels and Global Key Accounts, shares some insights into MMT’s hotel strategy after their merger with Goibibo. Looking forward to focus on making the m-commerce experience robust, they’re working on all the parts of it to make the process even convenient for their customers. Not just the customers, the company also focusses on helping their hotel partners by switching over digitally, all the onboarding process, making it a lot easier. Further he also told that the company has some other plans to drive more business online.
