Bose now boasts of having fully integrated Alexa voice assistant into its new models of speakers. This move is looked upon as Bose’s strategy to take on top notch rivals like Apple and Sonos. However, the company claims that its new wireless smart speaker, the Home Speaker 500 and novel smart soundbars, the Soundbar 700 and Soundbar 500 are developed with the intention to make the user experience uniquely better.
Doug Cunningham, category manager in the Bose Consumer Electronics Division states that “All of our new smart speakers double up on functionality,”. According to him one Home Speaker 500 has the capability of delivering true stereo separation. The Soundbar 700 and 500 are thin and with outstanding surround sound. Furthermore, bluetooth and Wi-Fi can be intermingled to play in sync or separately as multiroom speakers. Besides, Bose’s proprietary mic technology as part of its headsets and headphones shall enable speakers to hear commands better over increased listening levels.
The three speakers would be put up for sale starting October with the price of the Home Speaker 500 to be $50 more than Apple’s HomePod.
