Xiaomi, which set foot in India as an online only brand and later ventured into offline retail, is now adding Mi Express Kiosks as part of its expansion strategy in India. These kiosks are vending machines that would allow users to buy Xiaomi smartphones and mobile accessories sans any human interaction.
As part of this expansion strategy, the very first Mi Express Kiosk has been set up at Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru and includes Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Poco F1 besides accessories like Bluetooth speakers, car chargers and more.
Xiaomi plans to install more such vending machines across Indian cities as a part of its retail expansion strategy. Mi Express Kiosks would be installed at public places with greater footfall such as malls, airports, tech parks etc. Looked upon as part of its offline expansion strategy, Mi Kiosks will help in optimising operational and cost efficiencies and the products would be priced at par with online and offline retail platforms of Mi.
These Kiosks have been developed to accept all payment modes and the technology for the Kiosks has been researched and developed in India therein enhancing the brand’s allegiance to India.
