OnePlus has announced its Software Maintenance Schedule which sketches how long devices will receive new features, Android updates, Android security patches, and bug fixes. OnePlus stays on top of its game as compared to other mobiles as others can hardly stick to their schedule of pushing out android updates. Samsung, for example, took three months before pushing out updates for their unlocked Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Those using a near stock version of Android like Nokia, are able to push them out within the first week of releasing the phones.
With OnePlus officially promising to support their smartphones with new features, Android versions, bug fixes and security patches for two whole years, gives consumers at least two major Android version updates. Google will also take a step ahead to provide an additional year of security update.
