Pepperfry, India’s Online Furniture Etailer Pepperfry, is planning to launch its home services vertical soon. The first one will be in Mumbai.
To achieve this, the company will pump about USD 12 million (over Rs 85 crore) this year as it sets up 100 offline stores and strengthens its supply chain operations to reach more customers.
Pepperfry has been strengthening its market since last year when it launched designing services (Online design studio) in December.
Not just PepperFry, its biggest competitor “Ikea” is also going to launch a slew of stores in Mumbai.
Pepperfry has 10,000 sellers on its platform with more than 4.5 million registered users. The marketplace claimed it gets over seven million monthly hits, and the average ticket size (for furniture) is about Rs 17,000-20,000.
The company is also planning to launch home services in collaboration with UrbanClap. They will start with polishing and cleaning furniture. PepperFry, meanwhile, raised Rs 250 crore last year from existing investors.
