Recently Phonepe, a Flipkart owned start-up said that it has overtaken Paytm to become the largest consumer company in India. The reports say that the Bengaluru based start-up has hit $20 billion of total payments volume (TPV) which makes it the largest market player in the current scenario. According to the reports, Phonepe drew 2 million transactions each day in April making it up to 60 million transactions in the whole month. The co-founder Rahul Chari also confirmed that Phonepe has crossed 100 million users. However, Chari said that they are expecting to double its users till the next year.
