5. Why are some channels like Sony SET and SAB not available on Tata Sky?
Certain Channels like Sony SET, Sab, India Today, etc., are not available on Tata Sky as there is some pricing issue between the channel and the broadcaster. With the current contract has expired, the two companies have been negotiating a new deal. All these channels were taken off-air on Tata Sky with effect from October 1, 2018. But with the new TRAI guidelines, these channels are now being aired by Tata Sky.

With individual pricing and freedom to choose the channels, Tata Sky will offer 100 Free-To-Air (FTA) that are included in the base rate of Rs.153 fee.
