Ginger Hotels, a budget hotels chain by IHCL (Indian Hotel Company Limited) is set to sell its six properties located in prime areas like Goa, Whitefield Bengaluru, Mysore and Pondicherry. This move seems to be in line with the ‘Aspiration 2022’ strategy announced by IHCL earlier this year, which includes exploring new markets, monetizing non-core assets and other business expansion plans. The company has also released an order to the consulting firm Horwath HTL Corporate to proceed further with the sale process and consider a sale and lease back or management arrangement.
