We see life everywhere around us. In the puny bud of a tree which just popped up in a hope to become a flower someday, a larva praying in its cocoon and dreaming of flying high into the sky once he becomes a butterfly or a crown fish wishing to cross an ocean just to witness twilight. Life is happening everywhere without even you knowing it. But the question is, how much do you understand life? Spending half your life in a 9 to 5 mundane routine or pushing the weekends with deep slumber is a part but not what you may like to call it as a life. There are truths about life not everyone knows about. We give you some brutally honest truths about life. Are you paying attention?
No matter how bad the day is, you’re always growing
There are good days and then there are bad days, and then there are days when you start introspecting, is it even a life? Yes, it surely is. Productivity does not hit you by what day of the week it is; it comes from believing in you. Similarly, no matter how bad the day is going, you’re always learning something. You are always growing. It may not be visible to you now with the naked eyes, but later in time, you’ll realize it. Just adore every moment of your life. That’s the only deal.
Opportunity knocks at your door and windows every day
What, according to you, is an opportunity? Some tasks that let you lead in your team at work? Some visible guidelines or code of conduct that makes you matter? Or a journal that you daily update keeps you working towards the opportunity? Perhaps opportunity lies in every nitty-gritty aspect of life. You just need to start taking it as an opportunity. Do not wait for it to knock at your door rather start looking out of the window for the same. Because sometimes, you need to break those shackles of the comfort zone and fly seamlessly above the clouds of opportunities.
People will change
Yesterday, today and tomorrow, you’ll come across many faces but the question is, how many of them do you remember? Life is all about meeting people, holding them for a period of time where they bring out the best in you, and ultimately letting them go. Do not force people to stay. They may not be the same person you met in the cafeteria. People tend to change. It is as natural as snow in winters. Let them paint some picture on your canvas.
Time stops for no one not even for batman
They say time flies. Non-sense! Time never flies; we just let it drift away from our hands. It gives you enough space to conceive about every possible dimension and footnotes about living, but you still push it away taking it for granted. Result, it slips away from your control. Start taking responsibilities for the duties you do, be accountable for what you did and time will not fly. It will surely not stop either. Tick tok tick tok.
Pain caresses in dark
Night and day, Sun and the Moon, good and bad, they are not only symbolic but substantial. It was rightly said in one of the books by John Green, “pain demands to be felt” and it is best felt in isolation. Without the pain, no one would appreciate the little joys of life. Pain is where you learn, where you grow, where you bounce back.
It is okay to say NO
I am not here to please everyone every day. There are things I like and there are things I don’t and it is absolutely okay to say no to things I don’t like. It is very important in life to carry an approach which is strong enough to lead you towards contentment. ‘Yes’ is not the answer to every question and action. People will block you, judge you, or even abuse you but you’ll always have your way towards the true contentment. I say NO!
Crying is not bad
Do not consider yourself weak hearted if you cry your heart out every now and then. Crying has nothing to do with personality in public or your reputation among colleagues. It simply means you’re valiant enough to let it out. Whenever it feels a little heavy with no one to speak to, just cry a little.
