Exploring the options of alliance with two major US companies, SpiceJet – the low cost Indian Airline looks forward to diversify its activities beyond aviation. Refraining from naming the two American companies, the Chairman and MD of SpiceJet – Ajay Singh has however told that the two companies include one airline and a tech firm that is likely to be active in cargo, courier and logistics sector. Further he also said, “We must hedge ourselves from the risk of being in a pure aviation business and find the businesses which are connected to aviation, which would be a little more insulated from the high cost of fuel and so on”.  In the annual US-India Strategic and Partnership Summit (USISPF) gathering held in Washington, it was stated clearly that at present SpiceJet is not planning to expand to the US.
