A lot of startups across the country are introducing “Teafe” (Tea and Café) in the Indian market. The market has been growing since then and a rise in disposable income can be seen, accompanied by a change in tastes of Indians. In a country like India, more than 79 percent of the population consumes tea in the non-alcoholic beverage market which is valued at more than $30 million. Chai Point is one such start-up which claims to serve three lakh cups of tea every day, across all its channels. Other such startups brewing the culture of “Teafe” are Tea Box, Chaayos, Udyan Tea, and Chai Thela.
