After a long gap of 8 long years, Syria has re-opened its airspace to give way to Qatar Airways Flights. Airlines have been avoiding entering or flying from Syria’s airspace since 2011. The major reason was the civil war that broke in the country. This decision will not just help Qatar Airways but will also be of a great monetary value for Syria. Qatar Airways can now save a lot of time, fuel and cost while Syria can easily make the Airlines shell out a great amount of overflight fees. Flights from Qatar Airways are still prohibited to enter Saudi Arabia’s airspace. But the Airlines is sure to benefit from the reopening of Syrian airspace.
