1. Men’s Fashion Vs Women’s Fashion
The reveal by Snapdeal surprisingly showed that Men invest more in personal grooming than Women.
Men are also more concerned about staying fresh for long. They bought 3x times more perfumes and body fresheners than Women.
Meanwhile, Hair Removal Products along with Sanitary Napkins remained the top-selling personal hygiene products for Women.
2. For the Love of Phones
The love for feature phones is still not dead yet. Even the metro cities were popular hubs for basic phones. Bangalore was the most popular among all other top-tier cities.
The lesser-known manufacturers are among the top sellers in feature phone segment.
Meanwhile, the smartphone craze among tier-II and III cities has clearly not faded. The preference however are starkly different from tier-I cities. Micromax is the big winner in these cities.
3. Fitness Freaks on the Rise
The need to be fit and fab is clearly a priority among people in metro cities. The fast-paced lifestyle has created a need to buy equipments online and work out from home.
Nearly every one who purchased fitness equipments wanted to shed that extra fat sitting around the waist.
4. 2-in-1’s are the New Black
There has been a massive growth in 2-in-1 devices. A laptop that can also be used as a tablet has captured the imagination of teens and young adults.
The fact that 2-in-1’s are compact, have long battery life and are easily portable makes them the most sought-after.
The low price point is another important reason for going ahead with the purchase decision.
5. Government Jobs – Still the Dream for Many
The need to get into Government Jobs translate into more exam preparation book sales. Verbal Reasoning and English Language practice books are the most popular among aspirants.
