When you’re hanging out with your friends, what’s your go-to meal? For most, it would be a burger or pizza. And yes, we all tend to pick that because those things are available cheap, on a student’s budget. But imagine sitting at a pizzeria – the waiter hands you the menu and you see that there’s an Rs. 8.4 Lakh pizza on the list? That’s worthy of a double-take at least, if not utter shock.
But it gets anybody wondering – what could a pizza possibly have that it’s worth lakhs? Do note here that it is a small-sized pizza fit for two to share. Well, here’s the breakdown of ingredients:
Buffalo Mozzarella: The milk is sourced from domestic Italian buffaloes of the best quality and hence the cheese made. This gives it a nice chewy and moist texture.
Caviar: Fish eggs, yes. Not just one or two, but three exotic types of caviar finds it’s home atop this delicious creation.
Mediterranean Shrimp: The shrimp, specific to the Mediterranean sea has a distinct taste to it.
Pink Salt: This is not just any other pink salt. This kind has been handpicked from the Murray River in Australia.
There are also seven other types of cheeses, lobster and Cilento prawns that features on this pizza. Plus, you’ll need something to wash it all down, wouldn’t you? You’ve got the Remy Martin Cognac Louis XIII and a bottle of 1995 Krug Clos du Mesnil champagne to tie all the elements together.
One of the makers of this masterpiece is Renato Viola. He is joined by a wine-expert and a chef who cooks all the ingredients before it’s added to the pizza. Viola is one of Italy’s best. The pizza in question takes a whopping 72 hours to make, making it a dish you’d need to preorder. Would you try it given the chance?
