8. Mughal Heritage Walk
This initiative was started by the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence to support villagers make an income from tourism. It is a 1 km walk conducted by villagers who are trained as guides. It takes you through the Kachhpura village and ends at Mehtab Bagh. You also get to interact with villagers, see lesser known Mughal-era monuments and enjoy a different view of the Taj Mahal.
7. Keetham Lake or the Sur Sarovar Wildlife Sanctuary
Sur Sarovar Wildlife Sanctuary is at a distance of 17 km from Agra on the Delhi-Mathura highway. You can watch local migratory birds, animals like mongoose, jackal, etc., or simply relax by the lake.
The Kalakriti Cultural and Convention Center features art exhibits and grand live shows depicting the story behind the Taj Mahal. A beautiful window into the past, this place is a must visit when in Agra!
5. Gurudwara Guru ka Taal
Guru ka Taal was made in memory of the 9th Sikh Guru, Guru Teg Bahadur. The structure stands strong from the 17th century and the taal or reservoir was used to collect and conserve rainwater during the reign of Jehangir.
4. Keoladheo National Park
You can get to Keoladheo National Park by taking an hour-long drive from Agra. This National Park is a man-made and man-managed wetland and is home to more than 350 bird species, 400 floral species and other animals.
3. Dolphin Water Park
Dolphin – The Water World is one of North India’s biggest amusement parks. With some amazing water rides surrounded by a scenic scape, this place is worth a visit if you are tired of the bustle of Agra City.
