What is Yastimadhu?
Yastimadhu or Licorice is an ayurvedic herb native to Southern Europe and parts of Asia. It is the root of Glycyrrhiza Glabra which is used as a sweetening agent or in medicines. Yastimadhu is taken orally or in powder form to cure various diseases like diabetes, bronchitis, sore throat, cough and other infections. It is brown in color and has a sweet taste.
