A blogger-influencer, an entrepreneur, a brand accelerator and a diet and fitness consultant, Asmita Arora brings her best cards out for her followers. This multi-talented diva aces all these aspects with her innate driving force and effective time-management. Her passion fuels it all to make her the star that she is today.
This graduate from Miranda House with a Master’s in Psychology is more than just a pretty face. She has been a brand accelerator for many famed brands like PCJ, Bewakoof.com, Fab Alley, Urban Clap and more. Her greatest joy has always been to engage with her audience, to inspire, motivate and influence them with her ideas. Her mantra for a wholesome and positive life along with her beaming personality is what struck a chord with us, and so, we asked her a few questions to know more about herself and her multi-faceted journey.
On Her Multi-Faceted Journey:
“My inspiration was fitness and the response I got through it and then everything panned out.”
Asmita kick-started her journey a couple of years back with fitness as her main domain. She came in like sunshine on a grey day as the segment still wasn’t fully tapped and there weren’t a lot of names ruling this space. Her healthy recipes, fitness regimes and posts on body positivity soon gained her a lot of followers and the number constantly grew as she branched out in other segments like fashion and lifestyle. “My inspiration was fitness and the response I got through it and then everything panned out.”
On Her Personal Style:
Asmita’s personal style is defined by comfort and confidence to carry off an outfit. She believes that it is not necessary to follow trends to make your mark. “It is something that comes from within and defines your personality in the best way possible.” She loves to dress up in well-fitted clothes, preferably a pantsuit when it comes to formals and a crop top with high-waist jeans for casual wear.
“It is something that comes from within and defines your personality in the best way possible.”
The girls from Bollywood she looks up to are Jacqueline Fernandes and Kareena Kapoor. “Kareena, I think, is a born fashionista. Anything and everything she wears becomes a fashion and the key to that is she carries herself with confidence.” While these two ladies have made an impression on her style, she also thinks Katrina should experiment more with her style.
Keeping up with the pacing fashion world and exploring various segments is an important deal as a fashion blogger. She is fond of the street style vibe which gives her amazing opportunities to mix and match and deliver a fresh statement. A complete charmer, she modestly divulges away from being termed a beauty blogger. She believes that she still has a lot to explore and do in the beauty space before being called one.
The biggest lesson she’s learned while being in the fashion world for a considerable amount of time is that though there is a lot of competition, there’s space for everyone. “If your content is good it will take you to heights.”
“I don’t really believe in following trends but making my own.”
This fashionista has come a long way and has made an admirable impression with her style. She says, “I don’t really believe in following trends but making my own.” This season, as the chill set in the capital city, she loved dressing up in a nice trench coat and a pair of boots.
On Her Favourite Social Media Platform:
“I love Instagram, but I think YouTube is booming and is the future.”
Always filled with a bunch of ideas, she sets the base strong with them in order to execute them to perfection. Instagram becomes her go-to platform to voice them out. With the digital space growing bigger and better, it is going to be a boon for the fashion and beauty industries. The bright future of influencer marketing also rests upon another platform, and that is YouTube.
