There are numerous ways in which you can take care of your skin, hair, nails and eyes during this festival:

Eyes

Apply coconut oil around eyes so that you can easily remove the color later without rubbing the delicate area.

If possible, wear sunglasses to increase the protection level around eyes.

If in case colours enter into your eyes, do not rub as it will only worsen the situation. Wash your eyes with plain cold water.

Put eye drops in your eyes to lubricate them after you have taken a bath.

Hair

Do you always wonder why colors applied on hair leave them so dry? That is because they strip off the moisture content from your hair and make them brittle. It is best to oil your hair before you head out and tie them in a bun or ponytail. This way even if your hair gets wet, the dripping water will have fewer chances of entering into your eyes and causing a burning sensation.

Wash your hair twice by using a moisturizing shampoo so that no extra dryness is caused. When you are sure that color has been removed from your hair completely, follow up with a hair masque to infuse softness in your hair.

Nails

To stop colors from smearing your nails, apply a dark color nail polish on them.

Skin

If you have a dry-normal skin, it’s best to apply a light-weight oil like coconut oil on your face and body. This way, even the dark colors will stand a less chance of staying on your face for long. They should get easily removed.

If you have an oily-combination skin, smear your face with a lotion and let it get fully absorbed into your skin before you indulge in a riot of colors. Apply oil on other body parts if you can afford to.

Considering the fact that you will be playing under the sun for long, do not forget to apply sunscreen.

Try wearing clothes that cover maximum of your body.

Do not forget to apply a rich body moisturizer after taking a bath.

If your body has got a very stubborn color which is not going away even after you have tried a lot of things, do this: Dip a soft cotton cloth into Kerosene oil and lightly rub it on that affected area. You will be surprised by the results!
