Sandwiches and salad maker, Subway, is conducting a major brand overhaul in 100 countries. The purpose of the revamp is to refresh all aspects of the food brand and restore its sales volume. The transformation majorly includes updated store decor, new staff uniforms and improved menu. Apart from this, the company has also executed new branding and logos. The brand has also initiated the rollout of USB charging points and free WiFi to its network of stores in order to secure high sales.
Chris Churchmichael, Subway country director of Australia and New Zealand, stated that ‘Subway is undergoing a major transformation, not just here in New Zealand but globally to provide a fresh experience for our guests’. The company has rebuilt 13 restaurants in New Zealand. It aims at completing about 20 per cent of stores by the end of the year.
