Leading Pizza chain, Domino’s is investing in tech to provide high-quality and visually appealing pizzas to its customers. Referred to as the ‘Pizza Checker Tool’, the new system launched by the company will enable it to grade individual pizzas based on predetermined standards before it is served to the customers. This real-time assessment will allow error fixations with respect to various aspects such as toppings and even distribution of elements over the pizza. The tool can also reject the pizzas that do not meet the quality standards set by the firm.
This initiative by Domino’s has been taken in response to consumer complaints due to inconsistencies between the promised and the delivered product. Nick Knight, Domino’s Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive said ‘So far, it’s analysed more than one million pizzas, and there is a lot of learning that we’ve captured. It’s early days, but I’m really pleased with what we’re seeing. Team members are using this technology to put a much-needed extra focus on product quality.’
